Collaborations with SALSA
Collaborations with SALSA-SGC
With almost 10 years of data and samples collected, SALSA-SGC has built a strong resource for supporting MND researchers.
SALSA-SGC resources have been shared with a number of MND researchers, both in Australia and across the globe. Collaboration highlights include data linkage with the MINDAUS clinical registry here in Australia and contribution of genetic data to Project MINE.
What resources does SALSA-SGC generate?
As part of the SALSA-SGC protocol, we collect clinical data, biological samples and generate genomic data. For participants with MND, clinical information and biological samples are collected every 3 months at regular MND clinic visits. Biological samples are subsequently processed and stored across three SALSA laboratories (QLD, NSW, WA).

What's in the vault?
Explore our resources using the SALSA-SGC data explorer web app. Using this tool, you can dynamically query the SALSA-SGC collection to build custom cohorts/datasets.
- Resource querying across a range of demographic and clinical groups
- Dynamic overview of cohort/dataset selection
- Export query results to include in applications
